Would you like to Donate Fabric?
A portion of our proceeds are donated to Rays of Hope
We are gratefully accepting any and all colors & prints of 100% cotton fabric
Fabric donations can be in the form of remnants, fat quarters, whole bolts, scraps, yards, OR entire garments that you no longer wear---Yes, we've been using old cotton dresses and recycling them into pairs of pants!
There are two ways to get your donation to us:
1. small amounts of fabric can be mailed to us (we will reimburse you for postage or you can waive that to help us keep our costs down).
2. we'll pick up at your home or business OR meet you at a
place convenient for you!
Please tell us your story!
If there is a story about any piece of fabric or garment you donate, we would love to hear it. With your permission we plan to record these stories on our website. For example, you may have an old dress hanging in your closet that belonged to your mother or was made by your great aunt...but you've never worn it and you know you never will... You could give it new life and purpose. It could become 1 or 2 pairs of pants which will innately have, woven in them, a story about your loved one. It will be re-created into pants lovingly worn by another generation in the name of supporting women in their endeavor to live joyful, fulfilling lives.
Simply include your story in with your donation, or email it to us (be sure email can easily be connected with your fabric), with a simple statement like: "I give the SmartyPants Project permission to reproduce my story for the sole purpose of raising funds and inspiring more joy" and please sign it.
